From The Stands To The Spotlight

          Good Afternoon North Dakota Fans, I hope you are having a FANTASTIC day!!!  I'm having an AWESOME day!!!! This information I am sharing from March 7-9.  UND Softball team competed in multiple games this weekend. On Friday, they defeated Colgate 15-3 and lost to Rutgers 1-0. Saturday's rematch against Rutgers resulted in a 11-3 victory for UND. The team continued competition on Sunday with matches against West Georgia and Georgia State.         In the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the UND Men's Basketball team defeated South Dakota State University (SDSU) 85-69 on Friday, advancing to the Semifinals. However, they lost to St. Thomas with the same score. The UND Women's Basketball team defeated St. Thomas 80-67 in the quarterfinals but lost 84-55 in the Semifinals, concluding their season.         The UND Hockey team overcame Omaha 3-1 on Friday.                   Good Morning UND Fighting Hawks, I hope you're having an awesome start to the day. I'm having a fantastic morning.  I'm  going to share about UND Softball's game against Wofford which took place on February 27th, 2025.         On Thursday, February 27, 2025, the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks softball team engaged in a competitive match against the Wofford Terriers.Wofford initiated scoring in the first inning, establishing a 1-0 lead.   UND responded in the fourth inning with runs by Brooklyn Morris and Taya Hopfauf, securing a 2-1 advantage          UND responded in the fourth inning with runs by Brooklyn Morris and Taya Hopfauf hit home securing a 2-1 advantage.  In the seventh inning featured scoring from both teams. University of North Dakota (UND) Athletics Update: Hockey and Softball Performance Wrap up from February 21-23 weekend.         The University of North Dakota (UND) Fighting Hawks Hockey team demonstrated outstanding performance against the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Bulldogs during the February 21-23 weekend. On Friday, UND secured a 4-2 victory, followed by a dominant 6-1 win on Saturday. The team is scheduled to compete against Western Michigan University (WMU) on Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1. In Softball, UND participated in the Tarleton Invitational, experiencing varied competitive outcomes. Inclement weather conditions resulted in the cancellation of two scheduled games.
