The University of North Dakota Men's Hockey team delivered an extraordinary performance during a thrilling conference series against the Miami University (MU) RedHawks, showcasing their exceptional skills and competitive energy. In a display of defensive talent and strategic gameplay, the Fighting Hawks secured a remarkable 1-0 victory on Friday, February 13th, with a critical goal scored in the 2nd period that demonstrated their offensive capabilities. The intensity continued into the following day, Saturday, February 14th, when the North Dakota Hockey squad and MU battled through a nail-biting overtime game highlighting the team's determination and athletic excellence. UND ultimately beat the RedHawks 4-3.
The UND Men's Basketball squad engaged in a thrilling conference matchup against the University of South Dakota Coyotes on Wednesday, February 11th, 2026. In a nail-biting contest, the Fighting Hawks emerged victorious with a narrow 72-71 win. Following this exciting game, the team faced their in-state rivals, North Dakota State University, on Saturday, February 14th, 2026. Unfortunately, the Fighting Hawks struggled against the Bison, ultimately falling to a decisive 83-66 defeat. On the women's basketball front, the UND Fighting Hawks encountered challenges in their recent games. On Thursday, February 12th, they competed against South Dakota State University, experiencing a significant loss with a final score of 94-48. The team's struggles continued on Sunday, February 15th, when they faced North Dakota State University and were defeated 87-51.
The Fighting Hawks Softball team embarked on an intense weekend at Campbell/Cartier Classic facing formidable opponents across multiple games. On Friday, February 13th, 2026, the squad began their competition with a challenging double header. In the first game, they demonstrated resilience by defeating Fordham University (FU) with a narrow 3-2 victory. However, their momentum was halted in the second match when San Diego State University (SDSU) decisively shut them out with a 6-0 score. Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14th, proved to be a difficult day for the Hawks. Their first game against Baylor University (BU) resulted in a 2-0 loss, and the subsequent match against Oregon State University (OSU) ended in an even more challenging 8-0 defeat. The team's struggles continued into Sunday, February 15th, when they faced Fordham University again and were ultimately defeated 5-0, concluding a challenging weekend of games.
