I hope this Tuesday is treating you wonderfully, filled with positivity, productivity, and delightful moments that bring a smile to your face. May your day be as bright and promising as the morning sunlight, with opportunities for joy, success, and meaningful experiences unfolding before you. I will be talking about UND Tennis and Basketball today.

The Fighting Hawk Men's Tennis team showcased an impressive performance during their weekend matches. On Friday, March 6th, 2026, they faced Oral Roberts University (ORU) and secured a decisive victory with a 6-1 win. The team continued their strong momentum on Sunday, March 8th, when they competed against Northeastern State University (NSU), ultimately triumphing with a commanding 5-2 score. Parallel to the men's team, the UND Women's Tennis team also demonstrated exceptional skill during the same weekend. On Saturday, March 7th, they confronted ORU and emerged victorious with a remarkable 6-1 result. The following day, on Sunday, March 8th, the women's team further solidified their talent by delivering a comprehensive 7-0 win against NSU.

The University of North Dakota Women's Basketball team faced a challenging first round in the Summit League Tournament on Wednesday, March 4th, when they were defeated by the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) with a final score of 39-49, marking the end of their season. In contrast, the UND Men's Basketball team demonstrated resilience and skill during the tournament. On Friday, March 6th, they secured a decisive victory against the University of Denver (DU) in the Tournament Quarterfinals, winning 83-67. The team's momentum continued as they advanced to the Semifinals, where they encountered the University of St. Thomas (UST) on Saturday, March 7th. In a nail-biting match, the Hawks narrowly triumphed over UST with a score of 67-66, earning their spot in the Championship game. The tournament culminated on Sunday, March 8th, with the Hawks facing their in-state rivals, North Dakota State University (NDSU). Despite their best efforts, the UND team was ultimately defeated by the NDSU Bison with a final score of 70-62, concluding their tournament run and season.
