Good Morning and Happy Monday July 20th, 2026 UND and Grand Forks Spitfire Fans! Buckle up, everyone - It's time for another exciting ride! I hope you have an absolutely delightful and wonderfully bright day packed with positivity and moments that make you smile. Thank you all for being here, bringing your energy, and being part of this incredible community. I will be talking about Fighting Hawk Track and Field, UND Hockey, and Spitfire Softball today.
UND Fighting Hawks Track and Field's exceptionally talented athlete Jadyn Keeler has yet again received even more impressive recognition. She has been selected to the prestigious 2025-2026 Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Academic All-America Teams, which were chosen by the highly respected College Sports Communicators. She is notably the 2nd Fighting Hawk to be recognized with the distinguished Academic All-American distinction and achievement, alongside UND Football Player David Neuberger who officially became the 1st UND star athlete to earn this remarkable honor since the year 2021.
The North Dakota Hockey squad has recently placed twenty two players on the prestigious National Collegiate Hockey Conference Honor Roll. The NCHC Honor Roll, which was formerly known as the Academic All-Conference recognition program, continues to celebrate academic excellence. Among these accomplished athletes, an impressive fifteen of the twenty two players have received the highly esteemed National Collegiate Hockey Conference Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Recognition, which represents the highest honor for those who excel both in Hockey and in their academic pursuits.
