        The North Dakota Fighting Hawks are scheduled to take on the UST (St. Thomas) Tommies in an exciting matchup happening today, which is Saturday, September 5th, 2026, with kickoff set for 3pm CDT at Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota. For those who are unable to attend this game in person at the venue, there are multiple viewing options available to you, including the opportunity to catch all the action on Midco Sports Network or through ESPN+. Additionally, if you happen to be traveling while the game is taking place, you'll have the convenience of tuning in and following along with the game on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network, ensuring you won't miss a single moment of the competition.


        Prediction Time! UND is 1-0 and coming off a 42-21 victory over LIU, while UST is also 1-0 and coming off a 15-9 win over Winona St. I anticipate the Hawks will dominate the line of scrimmage and establish an effective ground game, keeping Jerry safe while dictating the pace of play—essential ingredients for victory. If UND wants to beat UST, they need to limit turnovers against the Tommies. Defensively, the Hawks must pressure the UST quarterback, stop the run, force mistakes, and make every possession difficult for the Tommies if North Dakota is going to win. I predict the Fighting Hawks to win 40-17.
