Let's Celebrate a Throwback Friday
Good Morning, Fighting Hawks supporters. Happy Friday!!! It's April 4th,2025. I hope you have a Fantastic day. I'm going to give you a flashback to Friday March 14, 2025 since I know we all are missing our Hockey.
March 14 marked the third matchup between the University of North Dakota (UND) and the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) this season, UND secured a win, improving their record to 20-14-2 overall and 15-9-1 in conference play. UNO's record stands at 18-16-1 and 14-10-1 in conference competition.
In the opening period, UNO's Israels initiated the scoring thirty seconds after the game's commencement, establishing a one-goal advantage. The University of North Dakota countered at the seven-minute and nine-second mark when Jayden Perron successfully scored, equalizing the match. Subsequently, Omaha's Jacob Guevin promptly reestablished the team's lead at fourteen minutes and three seconds, resulting in a two-to-one score. the first period, UNO's Israels opened scoring 30 seconds into the game, establishing a 1-0 lead. UND responded at 07:09 when Jayden Perron netted a goal, equalizing the score. However, Omaha's Jacob Guevin quickly restored their lead at 14:03, making it 2-1.
The second period witnessed North Dakota's commanding performance, as Cade Littler netted two consecutive goals. At 02:40, Littler initiated the scoring sequence, and subsequently at 03:03, he secured a second goal, propelling North Dakota to a 3-2 lead..
The third period continued without scoring, with the sole notable incident being a hooking penalty called against Jayden Jubenvill at the 12:09 mark.
