Today I am going share about Hawks Volleyball's Exhibition game against UJ(Jamestown) that took place on Saturday(August 23rd)and Yesterday's (August 24th) UND Soccer game against UJ (University of Jamestown).
In an intense volleyball match, UND Volleyball demonstrated their prowess by securing a hard-fought victory against UJ(Jamestown). The first set saw UND dominating the court, winning decisively with a score of 25-12 and taking an early 1-0 lead in the match. UJ(Jamestown) refused to be discouraged and mounted a strong comeback in the second set, winning 25-18 and evening the series at one set apiece. The third set showcased the Fighting Hawks' resilience as they stormed back with a commanding 25-14 win, taking a crucial 2-1 lead in the match. In the fourth and final set, North Dakota maintained their momentum and clinched the victory with a 25-20 win, ultimately triumphing over UJ(Jamestown) with a final match score of 3-1. The game highlighted the Fighting Hawks' skill, determination, and ability to perform under pressure.
In a thrilling soccer match, Jamestown (UJ) initiated the scoring by securing a 1-0 lead during the first half of the game. Despite their early advantage, the Fighting Hawks from UND remained unable to put points on the board. The dynamics shifted dramatically in the second half, with UND Soccer launching an impressive offensive strategy. The Hawks demonstrated remarkable skill by scoring three consecutive goals, transforming their initial deficit into a commanding 3-1 lead. This strategic turnaround ultimately resulted in a decisive 3-1 victory for the UND Soccer team, showcasing their resilience and competitive spirit on the field.

I got to the Betty just in time to watch the 4th set. They did play a 5th and 6th set. UND won the 5th set but lost the 6th set in extra points play to decide it. Wish I had gotten there for all 6 sets.
ReplyDeleteI wish I go to the Volleyball game. I had stuff going on. I appreciate your support!!!
DeleteHad to leave town just before the soccer game. Jamestown definitely gave us tough battles in both matches. But fortunately UND soccer team had a solid 2nd half to improve to 4-0 and have only given up 1 total goal so far this season including their 2 pre season games 👍👍💪💪👏👏
ReplyDeleteUnd Soccer is definitely doing FANTASTIC!!! I am super proud of them!!!
