I am going to breakdown yesterday's (Saturday September 20th) Fighting Hawk Football game against Valpo (Valparaiso).
The Fighting Hawk Football team played Valpo (Valparaiso) in their Homecoming and Hall Of Fame game. Congratulations to all the brand new members of the UND Athletics Hall of Fame. I am proud of you on your accomplishment. In the opening quarter of the game, the Fighting Hawks demonstrated their dominance by scoring first and completely shutting out Valparaiso (Valpo), establishing a commanding 7-0 lead. The momentum continued in the second quarter, with the Fighting Hawks dramatically expanding their advantage by adding 17 more points, bringing their total to an impressive 24-0 just before halftime. The third quarter saw Valparaiso (Valpo) finally breaking through and scoring their first points, narrowing the gap to 24-7. However, the Fighting Hawks quickly responded with three touchdowns and a field goal, decisively pushing their lead to 51-7 by the end of the quarter. In the final quarter, UND maintained complete control, scoring an additional 10 points while preventing Valpo (Valparaiso) from making any further scoring attempts.The game concluded with a resounding victory for the Fighting Hawks, who defeated Valpo (Valparaiso) with a decisive final score of 58-7, showcasing their superior performance and strategic gameplay throughout all four quarters.
