I will be doing a Player Feature on Mikayla Aumer from UND Women's Basketball, Kenten Laughman from UND Football and Zach Kraft from UND Men's Basketball.
Mikayla Aumer emerges as a standout senior basketball player for the UND Women's Basketball team, embodying excellence both on the court and in the classroom. Representing her team with pride while wearing jersey number 2, Aumer has established herself as a formidable guard with an impressive collegiate basketball career. Originating from the quaint town of Mara, Minnesota, she has successfully navigated the challenging balance between competitive athletics and rigorous academic studies as a Psychology major. Throughout her time with the team, Aumer has demonstrated remarkable consistency and skill, participating in an extraordinary 84 games and accumulating 1,503 minutes of playing time. Her current season performance highlights her athletic prowess, with a solid average of 9.3 points per game, complemented by 1.0 rebounds and 0.5 steals per game. Her dedication and versatility make her a valuable asset to the UND Women's Basketball program, showcasing her potential as both a student and an athlete.
Kenten Laughman, wearing jersey number 27, is a promising redshirt freshman kicker for the Fighting Hawks football team. Hailing from Shawnee, Kansas, Laughman is pursuing a degree in Finance while making significant contributions to the team's special teams unit. His kicking performance has been notable, successfully converting 3 out of 5 field goal attempts, with his longest kick measuring an impressive 32 yards. Demonstrating remarkable consistency, Laughman has maintained a perfect record on extra point attempts, successfully completing all 18 attempts. His precise kicking has resulted in a total of 27 points scored for the team, highlighting his potential as a valuable asset to the Fighting Hawks' special teams.
Zach Kraft, a promising guard from Grand Forks, North Dakota, has been making waves in collegiate basketball as jersey number 1 for his team. As an R-Sophomore, Kraft has demonstrated significant potential on the court, with a notable performance highlight being his impressive 14-point game against UC Riverside this season. Prior to the 2025-2026 season, Kraft's collegiate experience included participation in 35 games, accumulating 468 minutes of playing time. His local roots and consistent performance suggest he is an emerging talent in the basketball program, showing promise for future seasons and potential growth in his athletic career.
