The Fighting Hawks faced off against their in-state rivals North Dakota State Bison in an intense football matchup on Saturday, November 8th. The game began with the Hawks dominating the first quarter, securing a 7-point lead while completely shutting out the Bison's offensive efforts. The momentum shifted dramatically in the second quarter, with the Bison mounting a strong comeback and scoring 6 points, narrowing the Hawks' lead to a slim 7-6 by halftime. The third quarter saw both teams managing to score a field goal, with the Fighting Hawks maintaining a slight edge at 10-9. The final quarter proved to be the most decisive, as the Bison unleashed a powerful offensive drive, scoring an additional 6 points. This late-game surge ultimately sealed the Hawks' fate, resulting in a 15-10 victory for North Dakota State. The Fighting Hawks were unable to overcome the Bison's fourth-quarter performance, ending the game with a heartbreaking loss.
