The Ultimate Monday Sports Mashup: Hockey, Football, Basketball and Cross Country!

Good Evening and Happy Monday November 24th, 2025 North Dakota Fans. I hope this Monday is treating you wonderfully, bringing you joy, productivity, and positive energy. May your day be filled with exciting opportunities, smooth interactions, and moments that make you smile. Whether you're at work, studying, or enjoying your day off, I wish you a fantastic and fulfilling Monday that sets a great tone for the rest of the week. I am going to talk about the UND Hockey, Football, Basketball and Women's Cross Country.

The University of North Dakota Men's Hockey Team demonstrated exceptional prowess during an electrifying exhibition match on Friday, November 21st, decisively defeating the USA U18 National Team with a resounding 6-1 victory. The game was a comprehensive display of the team's superior hockey skills, tactical acumen, and commanding on-ice presence. By securing such a substantial win against a talented national youth team, the UND squad emphatically showcased their remarkable capabilities and potential within collegiate hockey. This exhibition match served as a powerful testament to the program's outstanding talent development, strategic coaching, and competitive spirit. The team's impressive performance solidified their standing, maintaining their strong position at number 6 in both the USA Hockey/AHCA and USCHO.com rankings, further underscoring their status as a formidable force in collegiate hockey competition.

The Fighting Hawks Football Team experienced a setback in this week's national rankings following their heartbreaking 34-31 overtime loss to SDSU (South Dakota). In the Stats Perform Poll, the team dropped to the 19th position, reflecting the competitive nature of their recent performance. Similarly, the team also saw a decline in the AFCA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, indicating the challenging landscape of collegiate football rankings. Despite the close margin of defeat, the Fighting Hawks demonstrated resilience and skill in a tightly contested matchup that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The  UND Men's Basketball team experienced a challenging weekend of competition. In their first game on Saturday, November 22nd, they suffered a defeat against Coastal Carolina (CCU), with a final score of 75-58. Demonstrating resilience, the team quickly rebounded the following day, Sunday, November 23rd, securing a victory against Western Illinois (WIU). On the women's side, the UND Basketball team also faced intense matchups. They encountered a tough loss to Eastern Kentucky (EKU) on November 18th, which was a rematch of a previous game from Sunday, November 16th. However, the team showed their competitive spirit on Friday, November 21st, by decisively defeating the University of Wyoming (UW) with a commanding score of 65-45, concluding their weekend on a high note.

Jadyn Keeler, a talented UND Cross Country athlete representing the Fighting Hawks, has achieved a significant milestone by earning the prestigious USTFCCCA All-American Status. This recognition highlights Keeler's exceptional performance and outstanding athletic abilities in the sport of Cross Country. The USTFCCCA All-American Status is a highly respected honor that celebrates the most outstanding collegiate athletes in track and field, demonstrating Keeler's remarkable skill and dedication to the sport.
