The North Dakota Hockey team demonstrated exceptional performance in their recent series against ASU (Arizona State University), securing decisive victories with scores of 7-4 and 5-3 over the weekend. Following these impressive wins and prior to their upcoming bye week, the team received significant national recognition. UND Hockey is ranked 4th in both the USA Hockey/AHCA Poll and the USCHO.com rankings this week, highlighting their strong standing in collegiate hockey and showcasing their competitive talent on the ice. These consecutive victories and high national rankings underscore the team's skill, consistency, and potential for success in the current season.
The Fighting Hawks Men's Tennis team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination during their weekend matches. On Saturday, January 24th, they faced off against Lewis-Clark (LC) in an impressive display of athletic prowess, securing a decisive victory with a final score of 6-1. The team's momentum continued into Sunday, January 25th, when they confronted the University of Idaho (UI) in another challenging encounter. In a closely contested match, the Fighting Hawks showcased their resilience and competitive spirit, ultimately triumphing over UI with a narrow 4-3 win. These back-to-back victories highlighted the team's strength, teamwork, and ability to perform under pressure, solidifying their position as a formidable force in collegiate tennis.
The UND Women's Tennis team faced a challenging match against the University of Minnesota (UM) on Friday, January 23rd, 2026. Despite their best efforts, the Hawks were defeated by UM with a score of 6-1, experiencing a tough loss on the court. Demonstrating resilience and determination, the team quickly regrouped and returned to the court the following day, Saturday, January 24th, to compete against Drake University (DU).
