Diamonds and Deuce: A Softball and Tennis Weekend Recap!

         Good Morning and Happy Tuesday April 14th, 2026 UND Fans! Today I will be talking about UND Softball and Tennis.



          The UND Fighting Hawks Softball team engaged in an intense three-game series against the Kansas City (KC) Roos. The competitive matchup began on Friday, April 10th, 2026 with the Roos emerging victorious, defeating UND 5-3 in a closely contested game. The following day, Saturday, April 11th, 2026 the Hawks demonstrated remarkable resilience, decisively defeating the Roos with a commanding 8-0 victory. The series concluded on Sunday, April 12th, 2026 with the Roos securing the final game and the series win by shutting out UND 3-0. 



        The UND Men's Tennis team faced a challenging weekend in their matches against Denver (DU) and Air Force Academy (AF). On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Fighting Hawks encountered a difficult match against DU, ultimately losing with a decisive 7-0 score. The following day, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, the team continued to struggle, this time against Air Force, where they were defeated 5-2 in a competitive match. The UND Women's Tennis team also experienced a tough weekend, with their match against Denver on Saturday, April 11, 2026, resulting in a 6-1 loss. These matches highlighted the competitive nature of collegiate tennis and the challenges faced by the UND Tennis teams during this particular weekend of competition.
