The Grand Forks Spitfires Monday Mayhem!
Good Afternoon and Happy Monday July 13th, 2026 Spitfire Fans! I sincerely hope and truly wish that your day has been absolutely filled with genuine happiness, authentic joy, and meaningful productivity in all that you do. And that you have found deep fulfillment and satisfaction in everything you have accomplished so far today, knowing that your efforts have made a real difference. I will be talking about the recent Grand Forks Spitfire Softball games from Wednesday July 8th, 2026.
On Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, the Grand Forks Spitfires faced off against the Minot Honeybees in an exciting double header matchup that took place in Minot, North Dakota. Official scoring began to take place in the second inning when the Spitfires' talented player Ally Hetzel successfully scored, putting the Spitfires ahead at 1-0. Moving into the 3rd inning, the Spitfires demonstrated their offensive prowess by scoring an impressive 5 runs, which extended their commanding lead to 6-0. In the 4th inning, the Spitfires continued their strong performance by scoring 4 additional runs, with Sofia Meer, Shannon Cunningham, Mattison Kwarta, and Ally Hetzel each contributing to the score, while simultaneously keeping the Honeybees completely off the scoreboard at 10-0. In the 5th inning, the Honeybees finally managed to get on the board by scoring 2 runs, with Alex Serbio and Clare Rettler each contributing, though they were unable to prevent the Spitfires from maintaining their lead at 10-2. In the 6th inning of play, Minot's Ellen Tarjan scored a run, which helped cut into the Spitfire lead, bringing the score to 10-3. There was no scoring activity in the 7th and final inning of play. Ultimately, the Spitfires secured the victory with a final score of 10-3.
In game 2 between the Spitfires and Honneybees: In the opening inning Sofia Meer and the Spitfires go on the board first 1-0 Spitfires. In the second inning Grand Forks scored 2 runs while Minot scored 1 run to make the game 3-1. In the third inning Mattison Kwarta helps the Spitfires extend the lead at 4-1. In the 4th inning Emma Peeples, Makenna Alexander and Sofia Meer assist the Spitfires and extend the the lead at 7-1. Later in the 4th inning the Honeybees get one cut a Spitfire lead at 7-2. Scoring returned in the 6th inning where the Spitfires get another to incrrease the damage done 8-2 Grand Forks. In the seventh inning both teams exchanged scoring opportunities.The Spitfires score 4 while the Honeybees get one from Jill Halas and Bridget Chapman. Grand Forks wins the game 12-4.
