The Spitfires Dugout Report: Grand Forks Battles Through a Tough Night Against the Minot Honeybees

Let's celebrate an incredible Wednesday that's packed with wonderful experiences and positive vibes! Today I will be talking about the Grand Forks Spitfires game against the Minot Honeybees.



        On July 28th, 2026, the Grand Forks Spitfires faced off against the Minot Honeybees in a competitive matchup held in Minot, North Dakota. The Spitfires established an early advantage in the first inning when Sofia Meer delivered a key hit, securing a 1-0 lead. During the second inning, both teams gained their footing at the plate. Grand Forks extended its lead through contributions from Anna Elliott and Taylor Larson, reaching a 3-0 advantage before Minot's Cayden Thomas scored, narrowing the gap to 3-1. By the third inning, momentum shifted decisively in Minot's favor. The Honeybees scored four runs, taking a 5-3 lead. The scoring resumed in the sixth inning when Sara Simon, Bridget Chapman, Reagan Winn, and Cayden Thomas all scored, pushing Minot's advantage to 9-3. Following a scoreless seventh inning, the Honeybees secured a 9-3 victory over the Spitfires.
