        Good Morning and Happy Thursday September 24th, 2026 Fighting Hawks Fans! I hope you have a fantastic day! Today's blog is packed with excitement as I bring you the Thursday Sports Feature! It's time to spotlight the incredible talent, dedication, and behind UND's athletes. So, who is stepping into the spotlight today? Which North Dakota Fighting Hawks players are being featured? Let's get ready to celebrate their journey's, achievements and everything that makes them stand out!


        The first athlete being featured is UND Football's Korey Tai. Korey Tai originates from the town of Glen Ellyn, located in Illinois. Meanwhile, Korey Tai enthusiastically wears the number 5 jersey as a member of the Fighting Hawks Football team. Furthermore, Tai serves in the position of Senior Wide Receiver for the squad. His academic pursuits and major concentration are centered on Marketing. Across his 29 career games played, Tai has compiled 11 career Rushing Attempts that have produced a total of 47 career yards gained on the ground. Moreover, he has successfully recorded 41 career Receptions, which have amounted to an impressive total of 589 career Receiving yards through the air. Throughout the span of his 29 career games, Tai has achieved a total of 6 touchdowns for the Hawks. In 2026 so far, Tai has participated in 4 games while accumulating 13 receptions for 280 yards. Notably, in 2026 he has completed 1 passing attempt and has scored 4 touchdowns.


        The second athlete being featured is Fighting Hawk Softball player Tehya Armstrong. Tehya Armstrong, who is a Junior Pitcher for North Dakota Softball, wears the number 7 on her uniform. Coming from Watrous, Saskatchewan, Armstrong has chosen to major in Occupational Therapy. Furthermore, her career Earned Runs Average stands at 4.78. Additionally, Armstrong's career Pitching record reflects a 10 - 8 record. Moreover, Armstrong has accumulated playing time of 127.1 innings. In terms of her statistics, she has recorded 145 Career Hits, 98 career Runs, and 87 career Errors throughout her UND career.
