        Good Morning and Happy Tuesday September 22nd, 2026 Hawks Fans! I genuinely hope that you experience a day that's absolutely wonderful, truly remarkable, and genuinely spectacular in every way—something that feels genuinely impressive and outstanding! So go ahead and pick up those Green and White pom-poms of yours and cheer with everything you've got, because today I've assembled quite the exciting roster of content for you. Throughout this blog post, we're diving straight into some UND Football talk, and then we're moving right along into some Fighting Hawks Soccer coverage!


        Following their resounding 34-7 loss sustained against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Fighting Hawks Football squad has impressively maintained their standing in this week's rankings. Most notably, they have secured a 7th position within this week's Stats Perform Poll rankings. By contrast, the Hawks have landed themselves in 8th position in this week's AFCA Coaches' Poll. The squad is scheduled to face off against ISU (Indiana State) on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The contest will commence at 12:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time.


        The UND Soccer team faced off against the NDSCS (North Dakota State College of Science) Wildcats in an exciting match held in Grand Forks, North Dakota. In the first half of play, the Hawks demonstrated their offensive prowess by successfully scoring an impressive 9 goals against the Wilddcats. As the competition continued into the second half, the Hawks maintained their momentum and went on to score 7 more goals, with contributions from several key players including Rylee Lawrence, Julia Goncalves (who was particularly effective with 2 goals during the second half), Charlie Basinet, Payton McKnight, Linnea Peltonen, and Viktoria Filner. By the time the final whistle blew, the Hawks had achieved a dominant and convincing victory over the NDSCS Wildcats, securing an outstanding final score of 16-0.
