The Amazing Thursday Sports Feature: Fighting Hawks Track and Field Meets UND Volleyball

        Good Morning and Happy Thursday October 1st, 2026 North Dakota Fans! I hope you have an awesome day! It's time for another wonderful Thursday Sports Feature - and trust me, you won't want to miss who's in the spotlight this week!  Ready to find out? I hope you enjoy reading today's blog!         1st Athlete being featured is Ethan Thomas.  Ethan Thomas, is an accomplished Thrower competing for the Fighting Hawks Track and Field team. As a Junior athlete hailing from Grand Forks, North Dakota, Thomas brings both dedication and skill to the program. His academic pursuits center on Cyber Security, balancing rigorous coursework with his athletic commitments. When it comes to his athletic achievements, Thomas has established impressive Personal Bests across multiple events. Indoors, he's posted a Shot Put mark of 60-11 1/4 (18.57m) and a Weight Throw distance of 62-4 (19.00m). His outdoor performances are equally noteworthy: Shot Put at 63-7 3/4 (19.40m), Discus reaching 181-3 (55.24m), Hammer Throw at 175-8 (53.54m), and an outstanding Javelin throw of 201-10 (61.53m).


        2nd Athlete being featured is Mackenzie Dufner. Mackenzie Dufner, a Freshman Setter donning jersey number 17, competes for the UND Volleyball team. Originally hailing from Minot, North Dakota, Dufner has made her mark on the court this season. Throughout 4 matches, she has participated in 5 sets total, during which she has accumulated 2 Assists. Additionally, Dufner has recorded 2 service errors during her playing time.
